You Tube - want to show a You Tube video to your class but can't because it's blocked? This site lets you download a video to your desktop and even has a free converter to change the strange file type to one your computer can play!

Another You Tube tool - download this free application (only for Safari) and it adds a little button to your toolbar. When you find a You Tube video that you want, click the toolbar button and it automatically converts the video to Quicktime and saves it to your desktop.

Rubrics - search through their database to find a rubric that works for you, or use their easy to complete templates to create your own. Requires registration, but it's free.

Screen Capture software - two free pieces of software that allow you to capture "video" of your computer screen in action. Can embed this into a slideshow, wiki page, etc. Great for creating how-to lessons on software applications (consider having your students do this at the end of the year to be used by your incoming students next year!)
